This hike is located very close to Waikiki. It is easy to get to by bus or car.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;While the hike is fairly easy, be advised that anytime you are hiking in Hawaii, preparation is the key.<\/p>\n<p>Even easy hikes like Diamond Head. Make sure you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&nbsp;bring sunscreen<\/li>\n<li>have a hat bring water and<\/li>\n<li>most importantly wear comfortable shoes.<\/li>\n<li>bring a camera to take shots for the top.\\<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The hardest part of this hike is the 100 stairs you will climb when you are almost at the top.<\/p>\n<p>You will pass through two small tunnles and then climd a circular staircase.<\/p>\n<p>Then you are almost at the summit. Diamond Head was named by British Sailors who thought the slopes of this volcano was made of diamonds.
