Remember Porky?<\/strong> He was a pet pig murdered by dogs and stabbed by a “hunter” in his own driveway.<\/p>\n

Now granted, Porky,<\/strong> was a feral pig. He\u00a0was\u00a0born in the wild, but he was\u00a0adopted by a family. He was extremely tame. He came when he was called. He would eat fruit out of your hand. He was part of the family.<\/p>\n

He also had a budding film career. He starred in numerous local commercials, here in Hawaii. He also had a recurring role on Lost the TV series<\/strong><\/a>. Porky <\/strong>was an up and comer. He was some pig!<\/strong> A rising star, whose life was ended all to briefly and tragically.<\/p>\n

The hunter was charged with killing livestock. He testified he was not there. He claimed he was with his pregnant girlfriend. A friend of his even testified, at the trial, that he was actually the guilty party.\u00a0The friend, another hunter, \u00a0stated in open Court that he stabbed Porky<\/strong>. He was not charged.<\/p>\n

The Defendant testified, he could not have killed the Pig.<\/strong> He had never been to Mililani<\/strong>. In fact, he continued. He did not even know where Mililani<\/strong> was located.<\/p>\n

(Albert’s side bar:<\/strong> We are talking about Oahu<\/strong>, here. A small island. I find this hard to believe. The guy didn’t know where Mililani is? C’mon!)<\/p>\n

Anyway the verdict was: No verdict. It was a hung jury. Out of 12 jurors, 9 wanted to convict, 2 were undecided and 1 voted not guilty.<\/p>\n

A new trail has been set for December. And still, this poor pig, a family pet gets no justice.<\/p>\n
